Lisk Works Launched

Excited to be finally sharing Lisk Wooks with the public. After years of carving and printing personal projects I feel I am now ready to show my first series of work.

Woodcarver/Printmaker/Physician

Woodcut Printmaking has become the prime focus of my artistic interest. The two dimensional aspect of the final hand pulled print becomes other dimensional. As the wood is cut it becomes three dimensional. The combination of multiple "cut" blocks with multiple colors evolves slowly, again, into a two dimensional printed object; hung aside to dry; signed; numbered; then stashed away into the drawer in my garage.

The artist in me blossomed during the Winter of 2011. I was enthusiastically encouraged to make a portfolio from my stashed prints, paintings, and carvings. My unorganized carvings, paintings, drawings, prints, and misprints became a portfolio. The portfolio led to an invitation to show my work. This is the beginning of LISK WORKS of Art.

My printmaking style is best defined as painterly realistic.
